Cranberry Balsamic Glazed Turkey Meatballs

Cranberries are bursting with health-promoting benefits and deserve year-round attention, not just a once-a-year appearance on the Thanksgiving table. A sweet-tart cranberry glaze is the star of these flavorful turkey meatballs—a little sweet, a little zingy, and a lotta delicious! Serve as finger food with crudité or with your favorite veggie sides for an easy and delicious meal.

For the turkey meatballs
1 pound ground turkey
1 Natural Grocers® Brand Regenerative Organic Pasture-Raised Eggs
1⁄4 cup grated organic zucchinis
1⁄4 cup finely diced organic onion
2 teaspoons minced fresh organic rosemary
1⁄2 teaspoon Natural Grocers Brand Bulk Real Salt
1⁄4 teaspoon Natural Grocers Brand Bulk Organic Ground Black Pepper
For the cranberry glaze
1⁄2 cup organic chicken broth
1 cup frozen cranberries
2 tablespoons Natural Grocers Brand Organic Balsamic Vinegar
2 tablespoons Natural Grocers Brand Organic Grade A Dark Maple Syrup
1 1⁄2 teaspoons fresh organic rosemary, minced
Juice and zest from half an organic orange
1 tablespoon Natural Grocers Brand Organic Coconut Aminos
1 teaspoon Natural Grocers Brand Organic Dijon Mustard

1. Preheat oven to 400° F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up.

2. Combine all the meatball ingredients in a large bowl and use your hands to gently mix until well combined, but do not overwork. The mixture will be loose and sticky. Shape into ping-pong-sized balls with your hands and place them on the baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes.

3. While the meatballs cook, bring the broth and cranberries to a boil in a large saucepan. Cover and reduce heat to simmer. Cook until the cranberries have softened and burst, about 2 minutes. Use a fork or an immersion blender to thoroughly mash the cranberries. Add the remaining glaze ingredients, stir well, and bring just to a simmer. Cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture has thickened slightly, about 2 minutes.

4. Remove the meatballs from the oven and transfer to the pan of glaze. Gently mix until the meatballs are well coated. Serve immediately.
