In 1996, Lynne Drakos opened A Balanced Crane Acupuncture Clinic in Breckenridge, CO. Lynne worked as the senior acupuncturist with a clinical focus on nutrition, herbology and homeopathy. Prior to opening her clinic, she attended Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, NM earning a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine in 1995. Her journey in higher education began at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque where she graduated with a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Anthropology, with a focus on Environmental Science. Her studies and career history have provided her with a broad background, not only in nutrition, but in soil science and human behavior, including the study of hunter and gatherer populations and the advent of agriculture. When she is not working at Natural Grocers, you will find her lacing up her shoes to head out on a hike with her husky or rock-climbing adventure in the mountains or desert.
