Stephanie Ricke graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Nutrition and Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She completed the Coordinated Dietetic Internship at the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth, Kansas through Kansas State University’s Coordinated Dietetic program.  After graduating, she worked for Sedgwick County’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.  During her time as a Dietitian for WIC, her passion for community nutrition grew and she applied for a community nutrition education position with Kansas State University’s SNAP-Ed program in Northwest Kansas. For seven years, she traveled across nine rural Northwest Kansas counties to teach low-income individuals and families the importance of nutrition education and how to apply it to their daily lives. Her love of community, nutrition, and science-based nutrition knowledge is what drives her passion of teaching nutrition.  She believes it is important to nourish the body, mind, and soul.  When not at Natural Grocers, you will find her volunteering in the community in various ways. Her hobbies include playing the piano, exercising, watching movies, and reading books.
