Bio

Sarenda Powers graduated at the top of her class from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health in Portland, Oregon, with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health and Fitness. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Some of her professional experience includes individualized nutrition counseling—focused on holistic health and wellness—working with food justice non-profits on food and over a decade of administrative management. Most recently, she worked in a private nutrition practice, guiding people to reach their individual health and wellness goals. Sarenda's passion for whole-food eating, regenerative agriculture, and equitable food access makes her a subject matter expert in the nutrition field. When she is not at Natural Grocers, she's spending time with her nine-year-old son and husband, cultivating her vegetable garden, finding new trails to hike and explore, or watching football.
