Kansas City is committed to maintaining healthy green spaces through its sustainability plan, and this commitment is now strengthened by a partnership with the Parks for a Sustainable Future program. Led by a longtime Natural Grocers customer and local activist, two park demonstration sites have been selected to participate.

Arbor Villa Park

Located in Park District 3 in the South, the site is a beloved one-acre neighborhood park in the heart of Armour Hills featuring a playground surrounded by natural grass turf, tennis courts, and an upcoming renovation to an aquatic feature.

Pleasant Valley Road Athletic Complex

Located in Park District 1 in the North, this "family-friendly" 27-acre park hosts four baseball diamonds and one adaptive softball field for youth and adult recreational sports alongside outdoor activities.
