The category of organic has become hugely popular in the last several years. This is great news—organic agriculture is good4 human health, the health of the planet and good4 the economy.
At Natural Grocers we are proud to carry only 100% organic produce. This means no accidentally grabbing the wrong conventional produce, no need to worry about pesticides being transferred from conventional produce to organic produce because they are stocked near each other, and because all of our stores are certified organic handlers, these nutrient dense fruits and vegetables will be handled properly and safely.
However, there is still a lot of confusion regarding the impacts of organic agriculture on the health of the planet and why someone would want to eat organic. To help clear up some of the confusion, we asked Dr. Jonathan Clinthorne, the Manager of Scientific Affairs and Nutrition Education at Natural Grocers about some of the common myths about organic agriculture.
